About the Program

As India propels itself towards becoming a developed nation by 2047, it is crucial to break free from traditional norms of skilling. Our nation's prosperity lies in leveraging the demographic advantage, and that means equipping our workforce with cutting-edge skills and knowledge that match the demands of the globalized labor market, Industry 4.0, and future industries.

The Next Gen Employability Program recognizes the existing gap between the nation's youth and employment opportunities. The program aims to bridge the gap between industry and higher education by introducing an experiential and hands on training program for the youth of the country. The program aims to provide a comprehensive and integrated solution that empowers learners with dynamic curriculum, making them industry-ready from day one.

The program is designed to be delivered in two phases; Core Program Delivery which focuses on learning and acquiring industry relevant technical skills along with AICTE Internship wherein students will be developing a project prototype on the basis of technologies learnt during the program, followed by activity led Modular Engagement sessions focused on acquiring and enhancing employability skills under the guidance of industry experts to ensure job readiness of the students. These sessions will provide an open knowledge sharing platform for the students to seek career guidance from the industry experts.

The technical concepts include Data Analytics and Full Stack Development. The program will be delivered in blended mode – which combines onsite instructor led training with online learning, hands-on sessions, and mentoring. Students who successfully complete the program will receive course completion certificates and placement/internship assistance.

The program will enable the students to
  • Build strong foundational and industry relevant skills in the respective technology vertical through hands-on experiences.
  • Reinforce learning through project-based internship aimed at building technical solutions for real-world cases under mentorship of master trainers/industry experts.
  • Learn complimentary skills through modular engagements like expert talks, corporate mentorship, etc.
  • Map opportunities for the students to demonstrate their developed solutions to industry experts to gain perspectives on enhancing the efficacy of developed solutions.
  • Providing exposure to industry relevant skills with focussed sessions on employability delivered with EY Global Delivery Services volunteers.
  • Enhance their overall employability and provide with opportunities for internships/ jobs/micro-entrepreneurship.

The program is a structured engagement for the eligible students with a strong focus on helping them develop the relevant Data Science, Full Stack Development, and Employability Skills through an experiential learning methodology. The 140-hour program is delivered and is divided into two phases as shown below:

Participants will have to meet the following eligibility criteria to register for the program
  • Participant should be a current student in an engineering/sciences college, preferably from 2nd/3rd/final year from Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh
  • Participant must be able to devote `140 hours to go through blended training
  • Participant should be willing to pursue a career in IT sector and is committed to migrate to pursue the job opportunity
  • Participants should have basic English skills and computer skills

To be career ready in age of IR 4.0 technology, data science, full stack development and ERP skills are of essence. Students will get to pick these skills in a blended format from subject matter experts.

Hands-on Experiential Learning Models
Program will focus on building hands-on experiential skills for students in industry relevant technology areas. Participants will receive mentoring / counselling from industry experts along with project-based learning to gain experiences of working in collaborative environments within Industry.
Access to an enriched LMS
A CenterStage for all program activities, the program LMS is a central platform for the students for all program resources. This gives the students a consolidated program experience along with continuity.
Reinforce learning through project based internship for 40 hours
