The Next Gen Employability Program is an initiative by the Edunet Foundation in partnership with EY Global Delivery Services (GDS). The program addresses the skills gap in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0), which has led to increased youth unemployment rates and unfilled new-age job vacancies. The program aims to create a clear pathway for eligible students to enter the industry by offering employment opportunities.
Equip underserved students with tech and employability skills through project-based learning.
Build faculty capacity for fostering a sustainable and symbiotic relationship between academia and industry.
Build the capacity of faculty to ensure long-term, widespread impact.
Increase the employability index of students by equipping them with relevant tech and employability skills.
Establish a sustainable and scalable ecosystem through strategic partnerships.
Demonstrate the program’s effectiveness through successfully implemented project models.
The Next Gen Employability Program recognizes the existing gap between the nation's youth and employment opportunities. The program aims to bridge the gap between industry and higher education by introducing an experiential and hands-on training program for the country's youth. It provides a comprehensive and integrated solution that empowers learners with a dynamic curriculum, making them industry-ready from day one. These skills will be imparted by offering a structured and comprehensive training experience through two models, one designed for technical students and the other tailored for non - technical students.
The Faculty Development Program is organised in collaboration with EY Global Delivery Services with the support of AICTE to enhance the IR 4.0 skills among the faculty members of Engineering Colleges across India. This 5-day Virtual Training Program covers 4 hours of content each day. This program is designed to strengthen the tech ecosystem while enriching the faculty’s teaching and learning journey.
To make learning more impactful, Edunet Foundation integrates EY GDS volunteers into the program. These volunteers act as mentors, guiding students through their projects, sharing industry insights, and offering practical feedback. By evaluating the projects and providing real-world perspectives, the volunteers help students connect classroom learning with industry expectations and prepare them for future careers.
Students enrolled in the program receive dedicated placement support through the Program’s Learning Management System (LMS). The LMS connects learners with a range of job and internship opportunities curated by Edunet Foundation.
Beyond hosting opportunities, the LMS also serves as a preparation platform—students can practice coding, attempt multiple-choice tests to strengthen their technical knowledge, and even schedule mock interviews with expert trainers. This allows them to build confidence, receive personalized feedback, and be better prepared for real interviews.
